Upper College Lane will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians through October 3. Excavation activities will continue this week near the Campus Center. Drilling equipment for the bore field will be removed from the athletic fields and Tyler lawn, while the horizontal drilling operations continue at the gravel path near the athletic fields.
Phase 2 – Quadrangle
Exterior Site Work
- A temporary boiler will remain outside of Emerson House, next to 20-22 Paradise Road, until permanent boilers are operational. The sidewalk and parking area will be offline while the boiler is in place.
- Periodic usage of a boom lift will occur at the inner Quad to complete utility installations.
Interior Activities
- Building conversion activities will continue in all Quad buildings.
- Build-out of the mechanical room for the Quad District Energy Plant will continue in the basement of Emerson House.
Phase 3 – Central District
Exterior Site Work
- Final paving at Seelye Hall will occur this week. Seelye Drive is open to traffic until the final paving is scheduled, which will impact the drive for one day.
- Backfilling of excavated areas is ongoing between Hatfield Hall and the Campus Center. Temporary vehicular access at Chapin Circle will shift to the south side. Excavation will continue from the Campus Center to John M. Greene Hall.
- Upper College Lane will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians through October 3 to accommodate the distribution of piping.
- Bore field drilling at the athletic fields is complete. Drilling equipment will begin to demobilize from the fields.
- Horizontal drilling operations continue along the gravel path at the athletic fields.
- Drilling at Tyler lawn is wrapping up, and drilling equipment will be removed in the coming weeks. Fencing will remain through October while crews excavate and install piping on the lawn.
- Deliveries will occur for the Central District Energy Plant.
Interior Activities
- Mechanical and utility work will take place in the mechanical rooms of Wright and Bass halls.
- Electrical activities will continue for the Central District Energy Plant.
